Couples Massage

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.
Elizabeth Valentine will be unable to attend this workshop. Kristina Pirani will be teaching in her place.
Massage is a wonderful way for couples to support one another through loving receptive touch. It contributes to more vibrancy and serenity in our work, play, sleep, and sexuality. In this workshop, we learn specific hands-on techniques, intuitive approaches, and ways to be mindful of the intent that we put into healing touch. We also integrate elements of movement, meditation, yoga, and stretching. Each couple draws on aspects that work best with their individual needs and experiences in a warm and supportive atmosphere.

We explore:
  • the value of proper body mechanics in giving a massage;
  • breathing exercises, stretching, and partner yoga;
  • meditation and quiet centering techniques;
  • self-massage and reflexology;
  • massage for common ailments; and
  • relaxation through group sharing and humor.
Limited enrollment; register early.
