The Mother Tantra, an important text of the Bön lineage—Tibet's oldest spiritual tradition— provides many techniques for healing and enlightenment. One of the most important and transformative practices in this tradition is tsa lung, a Tibetan yogic practice that works with the five elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space.

During the weekend, we explore our subtle body (our emotional, mental, and spiritual consciousness), including its channels (tsa), vital breath (lung, prana, or qi), and mind essence (tigle). Using tsa lung practices, we work with our energetic centers (chakras) to provide a sense of embodied meditation.

Tsa lung can clear long-held blocks in our physical body, subtle body, and mind, and can allow us to connect to our inner wisdom, our potential to achieve a relaxed yet aware state of mind, and a healthier lifestyle.

CE available. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

M. Alejandro Chaoul-Reich, Ph.D., has studied Tibetan yogic practices for 15 years with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, among others, and is a senior student and instructor at Ligmincha Institute. He teaches meditation to cancer patients and their supporters and is involved in research using tsa lung with cancer patients at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
