Shakti is a Sanskrit word that refers to our inner power and creative force. In this workshop-for people of all experience levels in yoga and all physical abilities-we practice innovative yoga asana (posture) sequences that cultivate shakti.

We also learn dynamic breathwork (pranayama), meditation, yoga theory, and Ayurvedic and yogic nutrition and lifestyle practices that we can bring home to help us juggle the multiple commitments of everyday life more gracefully.

Linda Lalita Winnick's yoga classes are grounded in a keen awareness of alignment. Her contagious enthusiasm helps us break through resistance, shape the body, groom inner resources, and reach new heights in our yoga practice.

Linda Lalita Winnick is also teaching Introduction to Yoga Weekend, July 4-6.

Linda Lalita Winnick, MA, owner of Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, Saugerties, and Kingston, New York, has more than 20 years' experience studying yoga and teaches more than 1,000 classes annually. She has taught this popular program at Omega since 2001. She has studied several styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Sivananda, Jivamukti, and Forrest yoga. Winnick also holds a master's degree in Ayurvedic medicine and yoga. shaktiyogawoodstock.com
