This workshop, designed for people with little or no experience in drawing, introduces the basic skills necessary for realistic drawing, but perhaps more importantly teaches us how to see and think differently, by tapping into the nonverbal, nondominant right side of the brain.
Under Lynda Greenberg's experienced and dynamic guidance—and using the lush and colorful surroundings of the Costa Rican rain forest as subjects for our artistic explorations—we learn and practice concepts presented in Betty Edwards's book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, and discover abilities we may not have known we had.
Through this carefully sequenced process, we begin to employ strategies of perceiving that enable us to draw with a high degree of skill. The learning is fun, the setting spectacular, and the results remarkable.
