What if you could defuse tension and create accord in even the most volatile situations-just by changing the way you spoke? It's not only possible; it's also vital.
Considered revolutionary in its simplicity, cross-cultural integrity, and effectiveness, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is the body of work developed more than 30 years by world-renowned author, peacemaker, and visionary, Marshall Rosenberg. It is a practical, powerful approach to reframing how we express ourselves and hear others by focusing on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting.
In an increasingly contentious world, this workshop is a unique opportunity for interested lay people (parents looking for ways to negotiate divisive sibling rivalry or couples who want to learn how to stop arguing with each other) and professionals (mediators, educators, human resource personnel, policymakers, lawyers, those in the mental health field, and others) to experience firsthand and understand this extraordinary process with its founder.
CE available.
Marshall Rosenberg is a clinical psychologist and the founder of the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international nonprofit organization that teaches peacemaking skills across five continents. He travels the world sowing the seeds for a nonviolent culture, and has worked in many countries experiencing intense conflict, including Sierra Leone, Israel, Croatia, and Rwanda. His many books and CDs teach how NVC can be used in a wide range of personal and social settings. They include Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life: Create Your Life, Your Relationships, and Your World in Harmony With Your Values and Raising Children Compassionately: Parenting The Nonviolent Communication Way. |
