Win Harper


faculty member Win Harper is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel. During his twenty-six years of service, he held many leadership positions, including Battery Commander in Combat (Vietnam 1967-68), Series and Company Commander at the Marine Corps Recruit Training, Company Commander of Officer training, and Logistics Officer for an artillery regiment. During the last four years of active duty, he established, organized, and led the Joint Army-Marine Corps Program for development of Unmanned Ground Vehicles. He was responsible for a 12 million dollar budget, and earned the Legion of Merit for his performance of duty. Win's other military medals include the Purple Heart, Navy Commendation, and Navy Achievement with Combat V.

Since retiring in 1992, he has worked as a time management consultant, and a staff member, department head, and life coach at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies.

Win has sought a wide variety of life experiences, such as, training for a private pilot license, owning and sailing his own sail boat, acting in community theater, running a marathon, backpacking eight hundred miles of the Appalachian Trail, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and achieving Competent Toastmaster.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University, and a Masters of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. In addition, Win is a graduate of the Defense Systems Management College's Program Managers Course. He received his coaches training through The Coaches Training Institute.

Win currently has a private practice, presents life coaching workshops, and heads the leadership training program for the management team at Omega.
