Dear Scholarship Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in attending Omega's Path of Yoga conference. Enclosed you will find the scholarship application for this event in New York City, NY October 10-13, 2008. Please take the time to thoroughly read this information before filling out your application.

Omega is committed to helping people with limited finances and special needs attend its programs. Thanks to the generous support we receive from donors and from our own annual contributions, we are able to award a limited number of partial and full scholarships to qualified applicants.

Scholarship Applications

2 Ways To Apply for a Scholarship:

1. Fill out the on-line application.
2. Print out a pdf of the scholarship form, then fax or mail it in. (To view the pdf you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. To download Acrobat Reader for free click here.)

Eligibility:
Eligibility is primarily determined based on financial need as set forth in US Federal Guidelines at 200% - 300% of the Federal Poverty level (see application). Please note: This determines your financial eligibility only and does not guarantee a scholarship. The high demand and limited funds available for scholarships forces us to adhere to these guidelines. If you exceed these income guidelines, please do not apply for a scholarship.

Scholarship Determination:
If you meet the income eligibility criteria, your application will be further evaluated based on personal need and/or professional commitment. Scholarships will be awarded at a level of 50% or 100% of the main conference tuition only. Scholarships are not awarded for Pre- or Post conference intensives. Please complete the enclosed application and brief personal essay. Scholarships are evaluated and will be awarded on August 29th, 2008. All applicants will be notified of the decisions within one week of that date. Funding is limited so apply early. Only one scholarship per applicant will be awarded for 2008 Omega programs. Please note that preference is given to individuals who have not previously received a scholarship.

*IMPORTANT* Submitting an application for a scholarship does not register you for the conference. When a scholarship has been awarded we will contact you with registration information. Once you have been contacted, you will have one week to call and confirm your intention to attend, and pay any outstanding balance
